The workshop is split into 3 sections which explore the following themes:

  • CHANGE FOR GOOD - How we can approach change as a positive thing in our lives. This would focus on different milestones we have in our lives and how we can turn anxiety around these things into positivity.
  • SKILLS FOR LIFE - Giving children the practical and mental health skills to cope with transition. This will focus more on the practical things the children can do to cope with transitioning - (life hacks for coping in a new school environment and mental health hacks too.)
  • BE YOUR BEST SELF - Focusing on independence (practical skills) and emotional resilience to help children prepare for more independence.

The course includes a workbook to complete during the workshop to help students apply and embed the information for themselves. This workbook also contains a link for parents to access at home with video resources to help them support their children's mental health as they approach the transition to high school.
